This short combines footage from 3 films, 'The Hitchhiker' and 'Mental Hospital' both released in 1953, and 'Fatal Step' from 1957. Each peice of footage includes a conversation or monologue that takes place in a car. Americans treat cars as little castles, seperated from the outside world. In these tasty bubbles paranoia blooms. Cars are sexy, powerful, and beautiful.
Jewelry cut from magazines and nailed to dead trees make up the majority of the films visuals. This was a short project that I wanted to finish before leaving home.
